Branch Manager, Freight Forwarding Marine Logistics



A rapidly expanding freight forwarder specialising in Marine Logistics, our client is part of a worldwide ship management and marine services provider who have ambitious plans for further growth. They now seek to recruit an energetic, flexible Branch Manager to lead their operations based in Ipswich.

Principal responsibilities include;

o Leading and developing an office team of eight freight forwarders and two accounts staff.

o Building close relationships with clients, understanding their needs and supplying a superb service.

o Working with and supporting the team to achieve common goals.

o Achieving budgets and helping to develop the business through operational excellence.

o Acting as office manager and deputising for the Managing Director in his absence.



You will have;

o A broad base of air, sea and road freight forwarding experience.

o A genuine desire to be an integral part of the team; to provide hands-on support and strong leadership.

o The ability to learn quickly and the confidence to ask questions if uncertain.

o Highly developed planning, organisational and problem solving skills gained within a logistics environment.



Reporting to the Managing Director this role has been created to support continuing growth. Working hours are Monday to Friday with the need for flexibility to work beyond office hours and provide weekend support. Career development opportunities are excellent.
